A Participatory Urban Aesthetic? Past Event

Communities rarely meaningfully participate in the design of the urban landscape. Human rights-based approaches in built environment delivery need a more active engagement of rights holders in the design process.

In this symposium, built environment professionals will be empowered to engage with their communities, and understand the value of participatory design to unlock tacit knowledge in given local areas across Melbourne. The night offers co-designing experiences and opportunities to share knowledge, listen and identify where industry change is needed to affect socially sustainable urban change.
