Business and Design Forum: MedTech Futures Past Event
More than 250 medical technology companies play a key role in the success story of Melbourne as a leading MedTech centre. Home to global companies and institutions delivering excellence in the development, design and delivery of MedTech products and services.
Providing an expansive view of the MedTech sector the forum will explore how government, institutions, businesses, researchers, and designers are together creating opportunities in response to the emerging health landscape. Discussion topics will include Victorian-led responses to the novel CORONA virus, commercialization of new healthcare products, and advances in manufacturing.
The forum is aimed at bringing together professionals across the MedTech and design sectors for mutual learning and networking.

Ali Moore
Ali Moore is a freelance broadcaster and journalist, and regular program host on ABC Radio Melbourne. With more than thirty years experience as a journalist and broadcaster, she has worked for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, Australia’s Nine Network, and for the BBC’s global news network, based in Singapore.

Dr Amanda Caples BSc Hons PhD GAICD is Victoria’s Lead Scientist, and catalyst responsible for working across the Victorian Government to identify opportunities for economic outcomes by building relationships between business, the research sector and government. Amanda brings to the role broad experience in technology commercialisation, public policy development and governance of public and private entities.
Andrew Nash
Andrew Nash is the Chief Scientific Officer and Senior Vice President, Research at CSL Behring and is an Honorary Associate Professor at the University of Melbourne where he leads a large global effort at the Bio21 Institute, focused on the discovery and development of new protein, cell and gene-based medicines to treat serious human disease.
Jefferson Harcourt
Jefferson Harcourt is the Executive Chairman of Grey Industries with more than two decades of experience in the development and commercialisation of cutting–edge technology and the creation and operation of technology companies. In 2020, he led the NOTUS Emergency Invasive Ventilator Program consortium at Grey Innovation, part of the national response to COVID-19.
Andrea Del Ciotto
Andrea Del Ciotto is the Chief Operating Officer at Osteon Medical an Australian owned company that provides industry driven CAD/CAM implant prosthetic products and solutions for dental professionals. She has been driving global corporate strategies, business development, improvement and operations across the banking, energy, telecommunications and the biotechnology sectors for more than fifteen years.
