DESIGN | MAKE | SHARE with Meredith Turnbull Past Event
This workshop is a DIY craft-based activity that celebrate the pleasure of simple design and hand-making for children, parents and carers. Design or decorate your own plant pot made from recycled materials, thread your own hanging sculpture, decoration, necklace or bracelet. Please note these activities are designed for children under seven but all ages are welcome. Children must be accompanied by their parent or carer. Materials are supplied but if you would also like to bring a selection of recycled materials (like empty and clean milk containers) Meredith will help you make something special.
Meredith Turnbull is a Melbourne-based artist, curator and writer. Her practice concerns the world of things as the form-creating basis of culture. The workshop will take place at Daine Singer during Meredith’s exhibition Material Community which incorporates work that approaches themes of identity and world building, considering the therapeutic potential in art made through small gestures of intimacy, materiality and care.
