reFrame: Book Club Past Event
Join the Monash University Department of Design to celebrate the recent publications by its staff. Across the multiple—and porous—fields of design they have produced a range of publications that help reframe design scholarship to locate new engagements with cities, gender, transport, histories and futures. Gene Bawden, Author of Comfort and Judgement: Nineteenth Century Advice Manuals and the Scripting of Australian Identity, will be in conversation with architect, Charity Edwards to decipher the permanency of design’s impact dating from Australia’s fraught colonial projects.
