Tomorrow’s Thoughts, Today’s Possibilities

Presented by The Things We Did Next

A discussion with The Things We Made Next designers and Elliat Rich, moderated by Alex Kelly

Tune in to this panel discussion, as Alex K, our Keeper of Time, transports us between the design states of 2021 and 2029, while curator Elliat Rich delivers a Dispatch from 2029. Together with The Things We Made Next designers, they share insights and reflections across time, space, politics and community.

This discussion complements The Things We Made Next, a virtual and poster exhibition the took place on the streets of Melbourne as part of Melbourne Design Week 2021. The Things We Made Next showcased the work of five designers who have engaged with future visions collaboratively imagined by hundreds of artists, thinkers and provocateurs during Assembly for the Future 2020. Their brief was to design an object that brings these visions into, or closer to, being. View the virtual exhibition.

The Things We Made Next is a project of The Things We Did Next, co-created by Alex Kelly & David Pledger, and produced by Sophia Marinos with Not Yet Its Difficult & Something Somewhere Inc.

Access: This discussion is Auslan Interpreted.
