In Peace, We Believe: Imagining a Future of Peace through Storytelling and Empathy Past Event
Interact with an exhibition that centres around the use of storytelling and empathy for building a more peaceful world. Spark meaningful reflections and conversations around our perspectives, differences, and most importantly, commonalities. Your participation and input will become different perspectives to explore and, ultimately, feed into a larger story around a collectively-created future of peace.
Based on a toolkit designed for peace mediation (as part of the United Nation’s Speculative Design challenge to mark its 75th anniversary), In Peace, We Believe features pieces from the toolkit as artwork. Interactions will be reflective and individualised in nature. You’ll be greeted with a welcome pack upon entering the gallery; it contains a unique set of cards that will guide you through the exhibition. You will commence a way-finding journey and explore individual pieces of artwork whilst reflecting on the exhibit theme and the prompts on the artwork. You will be encouraged to write down your thoughts on the materials you were given. These materials will be collected upon exit and become a collective story on how we might create a more empathetic future, together.
